Winterfair in Garderen shopping apfelstrudel and more

Browsing through brocante stuff, looking at Christmas decorations, eating apple strudel, shopping for clothes and getting ideas. I did so yesterday with my mother at the Winter Fair in Garderen. What we thought of it and whether it's a must read now.

The road to Garderen

The attentive reader will have noticed that my parents do not live nearby. This, besides just not being fun, is also not always logistically convenient. So Friday morning my mother and I met up at a carpool place, to continue the road to Garderen together. I had some delay because I had some ticket stress at home.

I had received the cards in the mail and put them away neatly. But where? After some tirades and a huge mess in my kitchen drawer I appeared to have put the cards away in a fairly logical place.

I throw it on the “pregnancy hormones”. In the end it all worked out well and we could go to Garderen together.

Winter Fair Garderen

I was invited to visit the Winter Fair at the Sculpture Garden in Garderen. A cozy winter event decorated in Charles Dickens style.
Adjacent to the Veluwe forest is the sculpture garden where the sand sculpture festival takes place every year. Just the main building is fun to visit, here are complete old-fashioned shopping streets laid out. You can shop and be inspired to your heart's content here.

You can also find nice restaurants where you can order a pea soup or a hot chocolate, that's part of the fun.

We arrived ’in the morning at the Winter Fair. The weather was lovely so we were able to browse the stalls outside at our leisure. Even the vendors were dressed in Charles Dickens style.

Very nice. I bought something nice for under the Christmas tree at the first stall. Of course I cannot share this with you yet because then it would no longer be a surprise. Between the decoration and food stalls were also nice clothing stalls and various gadgets for in and around the house. Inside the fun continued and I bought a super cute hat for the little girl.

Readers who follow my instagram have already seen it passing by.
In the main building, you'll imagine yourself in real shopping streets from the 19th century. Super cozy. Here you can even see some sand sculptures. We stared our eyes out, what was it all beautifully decorated.

I scored another really cool old-fashioned doll's chair. Ok, the little girl is only three months so I just hope she becomes a doll girl. After we had seen everything we ate a delicious apfelstrüdel in the restaurant.

What a nice day at a nice Winterfair. Highly recommended!
